Disneyland Day 2.1

Disneyland Day 2.1

Okay so we realized that on our first day we were in Disney’s California Adventure. After our first day we realized that we needed to take plenty of breaks. Unfortunately all our planning couldn’t account for the littlest guy getting a little sick. This is really the iconic side of the park. We didn’t explore everything fully through, but what we did see was amazing; especially how clean it was.

Disneyland Day 1.3

Disneyland Day 1.3

On day one we found that Disneyland is magically exhausting. It took us until the end of the day before we were able to see a character, but that’s alright because the little guy wasn’t sure what to make of a real life Goofy. Would you believe that after this we all had the energy to swim? Okay maybe we just sat in the hot tub.

Next Stop….. Yellowstone

Next Stop..... Yellowstone

We finally made it! The last day of our vacation was Yellowstone National Park. The last time we were here was early spring. At that time of the year all of the animals are coming into the area to warm up after the long winter chill.
On our first stop we visited the Paint Pots. Our little guy got to learn about the delicate balance of life, ecosystems and places where bacteria live if they aren’t making us sick/helping us live..

Long Haul

Long Haul

We ended up staying in Spokane Washington for the night. I honestly thought that this town would be more than it really was.
When I was 11 one of my friends moved to Spokane. This was a huge deal to me as I hadn’t really been out of the great state of Utah. This led me to have some delusions of grandeur about Spokane. None the less, it was still a nice place.
After this stay we began our long haul with the final destination of Driggs Idaho. This is a long drive that primarily takes you through forest land.

Party Like it’s 1956!

Party Like it's 1956!

Almost everything about our vacation is running as smooth as possible; my Amex magnetic strip went out. We did eventually find out why it is a little more expensive to stay in Victoria this weekend. Apparently it is classic car weekend. This means that in addition to telling the boys that they can go no close than 20 feet from the water (mom’s standards) that they can also go no closer than 10 feet to any car they see (dad’s standards). That being said, I think my little guy compliments this picture very well.
