I’ve found that everyone really thinks about what it means to be a family in a different way. Regardless of how similar circumstances have been in a person’s life they tend to view what it means to be a family differently. My family boys and wife are the most important everything to me in my life. They have given me the direction and motivation I’ve needed to accomplish the things I have done. At this point I can confidently say that the greatest achievements I have made in my life started when I married my wife. At this point I should give a little background.
I grew up smack dab in the middle of a family with 5 children. I’ll discuss what that was like at a later time. I later started to put myself through college where I met my wife Xi (shee) who grew up in Chengdu, China. We not have 2 wonderful boys and a couple of dogs. This is my immediate family.
The family I grew up with consists of 5 sisters (I know the numbers don’t add up. A father who has been remarried a few times and a mother who has remarried a couple of times; although it is important to note that this was due to circumstances beyond her control.
The last chuck of what I consider my family is my nearest and dearest of friends. I met them all about the same time in my life and consider them one of my most valuable assets. Without them I don’t know if I would be the person I am today.
