Institutionalized

I am an adamant proponent of education. I firmly believe that this part of me is what has saved me from failing in living a life filled with regret. Each phase of my education has had a pivitol moment when I think I could have failed to continue by making up excuses; similar to why most of us are inconsistent at the gym.

I didn’t have fun in High School so had to leave early. There were some violent people that went to my school which made it a very unpleasant place to be. On top of the violent people there was the social pressure that was virtually unbearable to me. Finally, the women, oh the women, I was so incredibly uncomfortable around women which may come as a shock because of the way my family was. All these factors combined let me to the decision to leave early. I did, however, get my High School Diploma through non conventional means later through Job Corp.

Eventually I decided to try and go back to school to get a Bachelor’s degree. This was reasonably difficult to do without any guidance or encouragement from parties other than myself. I ended up getting my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with an emphasis on Developmental Psychology from the University of Utah.

When the Bachelors didn’t give me the return on investment I planned on I decided to return to school to receive an advanced degree. This is currently where I am at in my educational career. I am currently enrolled full time at Westminster College in the Masters of Business Administration program. I anticipate that I will graduate at the end of 2012.
